First of all you need to have an image uploader site. I used Photobucket when I want to keep all my links available to me anytime and Imageshack when I just need the link once. Registration for Photobucket is free and you don't need to have an account in Imageshack if you just need a one time url link.
Click to Photobucket
Click to Imageshack
Before you upload your image to one of these photo uploader, make sure you have resized it. I usually prefer to use 450x450px and for this tutorial images, I am using 450x450 and 600x600px. There is a size limit when you upload your image, so make sure it doesn't exceeds it because when you do, your page will be trying to upload for quite sometimes before it gives you the warning that your image size is too big.
How to reduce the size of your layout for web use:
1) Save original layout first with File-Save As-JPEG for a high resolution image.
2) Open the layout again in Photoshop and go to Image-Image Size and reduce the image to 450 or whichever size you want.
I'm using CS3 extended but the basic features are the same.
3) To save reduced image, go to File-Save as Web-JPEG
4) Make sure you create a different file name so you won't delete the original layout by accident until you get used to it. I usually add just an 'a' or '1' to my original layout name.
After you have make a Web copy of the layout, open to an image uploader site. Here I will use Imageshack because I know I am only going to use the link one time for this tutorial.

PIC2:
Copy the url of your image as shown in PIC2 by right-clicking your mouse and 'copy'
How to post Image in the forum:
This forum as well as many others use BBCodes.
So to add image to your topic, use the Img button
By double clicking the Img button, you will see this in your post:
Just go to the middle of the brackets and paste the url link of the layout image you have copied earlier from Imageshack. It should look like this:
| Code: | | |
Here's a simple example:
Just replace the x with the url link.
The image I uploaded has a size of 300x300px. So when I post the image here using the 'Img' button above, the image should look like this:
To upload another image after the first one you have done, just go to the top of the page in Imageshack and click on the button 'UPLOAD another image'
How to link your layout gallery from here:
The url or web address of your layout gallery is shown below:
To add the link, simply paste the url code here.
If you want to make it looking really neat and tidy, this is what you do:
Please follow the code shown below:
| Code: | | Layout name |
Example:
I have been using Danesa's layout for this tutorial titled QP Layout with Photos
So using the link to her layout gallery and title of her layout, my BBCodes here will look like this:
| Code: | | QP Layout with Photos |
When you preview it, it would look like this in your post:
